What you will do

• Lead the engineering and execution of migrating legacy T1 lines to modern MPLS networks.
• Configure and optimize Cisco Catalyst 8300 edge platforms and 9200L switches.
• Architect and deploy dual-homed HSRP redundancy frameworks across primary network hubs.
• Analyze routing, bandwidth, QoS, and latency implications of network transitions.
• Develop low-level designs (LLDs) and network topology diagrams for critical hubs.
• Conduct technical root cause analysis and performance tuning during circuit cutover phases.

Requirements

• 9+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Active Secret Clearance.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+).
• Deep expertise in T1 to MPLS migration and Cisco C8300/C9200L hardware.
• Proven experience with Layer 3 redundancy using HSRP in enterprise topologies.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Alexandria, VA.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) or Department of Homeland Security (DHS) programs.
• Advanced certifications such as CCNP or CCIE.
• Advanced knowledge of WAN architecture, traffic engineering, and failover optimization.
