Salary: $40.32 - $50.42 per hour

What you will do
- Operate within a Mobile Crisis Team to provide field-based de-escalation and mental health risk assessments.
- Staff the 24/7 Mental Health and Addictions Access Line, triaging calls and coordinating emergency responses.
- Deliver care and monitoring via telehealth, utilizing digital platforms for remote consultation and case management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners, including EMS, police, and psychiatry, to ensure integrated care.
- Develop care plans and perform holistic health assessments for clients with acute and chronic mental illnesses.
- Provide follow-up check-ins for individuals post-crisis to prevent unnecessary emergency room visits.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Counselling Therapy, Psychology, Psychotherapy, or Social Work.
- Eligible and willing to be registered with the PEI Social Work Registration Board, College of Counselling Therapists, or Psychologists Registration Board.
- Significant clinical experience with acute and chronic mental illness and addictions.
- Proficiency in DSM-5, Mental Health Act, and Criminal Code Review Board.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Certification in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NVCI), suicide risk, and violence risk assessment.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in both English and French.
- Experience with resistant or aggressive client groups and vulnerable populations.
- Knowledge of evidence-based interventions for substance use disorders.
