What you will do

  • Set up new disability applications accurately and follow up to obtain missing information within specified timeframes.
  • Perform administrative duties including invoice payments and completion of documented processes for claim closures and applications.
  • Respond to client inquiries related to life and disability claims via email and telephone queue.
  • Manage data input within claims management and payment systems.
  • Perform financial calculations for income replacement benefits, including offsets and payments.
  • Prepare, format, and proofread templates and official letters.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum six months of experience in an administrative role, preferably in health care or health services.
  • Fluent bilingualism in English and French (written and verbal) is required.
  • Reliability Status Clearance (Enhanced Level B) must be obtained prior to the start date.
  • Residency in Canada for at least 5 years and Permanent Resident or Citizenship status.
  • Superior knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of medical terminology or experience as a medical secretary.
  • Previous experience in customer service.
