What you will do

• Perform quarterly reserve and profit share analyses using standard actuarial methodologies to support financial reporting.
• Extract, transform, and analyze large datasets to build reserving exhibits, triangles, and monitoring dashboards.
• Partner with Claims, Finance, and Underwriting teams to identify loss drivers and assess their impact on reserves.
• Refine reserving methodologies, assumptions, and governance processes for better consistency and control.
• Prepare technical actuarial reports and presentations for senior management and regulators.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to make reserving analyses more efficient and scalable.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada.
• 4+ years of P&C actuarial experience with a strong focus on reserving.
• Progress toward ACAS/FCAS with a commitment to continuing the exam journey.
• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in SQL, R, or Python for manipulating large datasets.
• Strong communication skills for presenting technical results to both actuarial and non-actuarial audiences.

Nice to have

• Direct reserving experience in cyber or executive risk specialty lines.
• Background working in insurance, reinsurance, or insurtech environments.
• Experience automating actuarial workflows or building tools using SQL, R, or Python.
• Familiarity with P&C loss reserve regulatory and financial reporting requirements.
