What you will do

• Coordinate global product teams, including domestic and overseas colleagues and vendors, to deliver best-in-class product functionality.
• Define detailed product specifications based on market landscape and corporate objectives to guide vendor quotations and development.
• Oversee quality assurance and product testing by preparing test methods, instructions, and corrective action plans.
• Drive vendor selection and enhancement through factory audits and recommendations to improve manufacturing capability.
• Manage 25+ projects of elevated complexity simultaneously, balancing aggressive goals with high quality standards.
• Support product complaint resolution by analyzing root causes and implementing viable corrective actions based on customer feedback.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or Physical Science.
• 10+ years of direct experience in product development or engineering.
• Proficiency in CAD and MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
• Deep understanding of advanced mechanical and electrical systems and their associated manufacturing costs.
• Knowledge of UL, CSA, and other regulatory standards applied to product design.
• Ability to travel up to 25%, including significant time on factory floors in China.
