What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of data scientists focused on AI platform development and conversational AI.
• Drive the development of LLM-powered workflows and native AI systems while optimizing for cost and performance.
• Partner with engineering, product, and brand teams to productionize models and build reliable AI infrastructure.
• Provide technical guidance on modeling, experimentation, and evaluation strategies.
• Set clear performance expectations, provide direct feedback, and manage team execution.
• Hire and retain high-performing data science talent.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship provided).
• 7+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or applied AI.
• 3+ years of experience managing data scientists or leading technical projects.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience building and deploying machine learning models in production environments.
• Deep understanding of recommendation systems, ranking, retrieval, NLP, and applied statistics.
• Experience with agentic AI, LLMs, and advanced RAG systems.

Nice to have

• Experience in marketplace, social commerce, or recommendation-driven products.
• Experience with large-scale or real-time data systems.
