Location: Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, or Washington. Must work in an office 4+ days per week.
Salary: $235,000 – $414,000 annually (depending on pay zone)

What you will do
- Lead compliance with government requests for user data and provide support for the Law Enforcement Operations (LEO) team.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product and Engineering on compliance- and safety-related tooling.
- Work with outside counsel to defend against improper attempts to obtain user data by civil and criminal litigants.
- Advise T&S, Product, and Engineering teams on obligations under platform safety regulations, including the EU Digital Services Act and UK Online Safety Act.
- Partner with the Policy team on legislative proposals and developments impacting user safety and data disclosure.
- Collaborate on investigations of Community Guidelines violations and advise on referrals to law enforcement.
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited university.
- Active membership in at least one state bar.
- 8+ years of proven experience advising clients and analyzing complex statutory requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent legal and business judgment with outstanding writing and analytical skills.
Nice to have
- Experience as a criminal prosecutor.
- Experience advising tech companies on law enforcement response, trust and safety, and product safety.
- Experience conducting criminal investigations into child sexual exploitation and ToS/Community Guidelines violations.
