What you will do

• Lead technical projects, define systems, create proofs of concept, and collaborate with Product and Clients.
• Write code for new service functionality, APIs, data routing/processing, and automation.
• Develop backend services and web tools for diverse platforms including financial modeling, emissions data, ML/AI predictions, and visualizations.
• Run code reviews, mentor juniors, experiment with new technologies, and contribute to feature research.
• Improve codebase by automating, refactoring, and documenting.
• Work in cross-functional teams with financial, legal, and editorial experts.

Requirements

• Experience with Python and web frameworks (Flask, moving to FastAPI with typing).
• Strong skills in delivering APIs and service-oriented architecture.
• Good knowledge of SQL for data retrieval.
• Ability to plan software within systems and business context, understanding data flows.
• Collaborator and communicator with cross-functional teams.
• Write testable, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Lambda, Docker, PostgreSQL.
