What you will do

• Improve core developer workflows for compiling, testing, packaging, and validating changes.
• Develop shared engineering foundations and core Scala libraries used across services.
• Enhance CI speed and reliability to optimize feedback loops and release confidence.
• Turn recurring developer pain points into durable tools, automation, and platform improvements.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools like Cursor and Claude to accelerate platform work and automate repetitive tasks.
• Collaborate with service teams to understand needs and support the adoption of the paved path.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering fundamentals in Scala, Java, Kotlin, or another production language.
• Experience with build systems, dependency management, and CI (Bazel, SBT, Maven, Gradle, GitHub Actions).
• Ability to debug complex build and workflow failures in large shared codebases.
• Product-minded approach to developer experience, focusing on usability and feedback loops.
• Comfortable using modern AI tools (Cursor, Claude) for codebase exploration and agent orchestration.
• Must be based in the United States.
