Compensation: $350,000–$425,000 USD

What you will do

• Advise research, engineering, and product teams on legal issues arising from the development of frontier AI systems.
• Build practical legal frameworks for AI and privacy governance, covering training, fine-tuning, and release strategies.
• Support AI safety research by advising on vendor engagements, external collaborations, and data usage.
• Identify and address novel legal risks regarding IP, privacy, data rights, and consumer protection.

Requirements

• 10+ years of legal experience with expertise in product counseling, AI regulation, and privacy.
• Proven ability to provide practical, solution-focused advice under uncertainty.
• Experience working with technical staff and understanding of model training pipelines.
• Visa sponsorship is available for the right candidate.

Nice to have

• In-house experience at a technology company shipping products with novel legal risks.
• Strong familiarity with global AI regulation and intellectual property issues specific to the AI domain.
