Salary: $319,000 - $375,000

What you will do

• Serve as the senior legal partner to product, engineering, hardware, and cryptography teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Advise on legal and regulatory issues regarding digital identity, biometrics, decentralized finance, and AI-enabled systems.
• Lead global intellectual property strategy, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and open source governance.
• Build and scale a high-performing global product and IP legal function.
• Develop internal playbooks, review frameworks, and operational systems to support efficient product launches.
• Manage outside counsel relationships and IP risk assessments.

Requirements

• 10–20+ years of experience as a product, technology, IP, or privacy attorney at a leading law firm or in-house.
• Juris Doctor from a top-tier law school and membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• Deep expertise in product counseling and intellectual property (patents, trademarks, licensing).
• Experience supporting globally distributed products and navigating multi-jurisdictional regulatory environments.
• Ability to work in-person from San Francisco, CA.
• Strong business judgment and ability to translate complex legal concepts for technical stakeholders.
