What you will do

• Plan, pitch, and execute high-quality stories that inform and engage professional audiences.
• Coach outside authors and reporters to break bigger stories and improve their writing.
• Manage the editorial lifecycle from initial pitch to final publication.
• Collaborate with the newsroom to develop ideas for multimedia content, including videos and podcasts.
• Ensure all content meets strict deadlines and maintains the highest standards of accuracy and quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Seven or more years of professional experience in journalism.
• Exceptional news judgment and the ability to simplify complex legal and government topics.
• Proven ability to manage change and influence others in a collaborative newsroom environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple stories under tight deadlines.
• Excellent writing and editing skills with a focus on clarity and impact.
