What you will do

• Edit and publish stories accurately on deadline in a fast-paced digital news environment.
• Shape stories for structure, flow, tone, and voice to align with the CNBC Make It brand.
• Write audience-focused headlines, leads, and display copy to maximize engagement.
• Monitor news developments to identify timely trends and assign compelling story angles.
• Generate innovative story concepts and execute recurring editorial franchises.
• Collaborate with reporters and cross-functional teams to ensure journalistic accuracy and legal standards.

Requirements

• At least five years of editing experience in a digital newsroom or publishing environment.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and copyediting skills.
• Strong understanding of digital news production and journalistic standards.
• Ability to make complex financial and career topics accessible to a broad audience.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
• Based in Englewood Cliffs, NJ.
