What you will do

• Lead industrial facility audits, define project scopes, and develop high-level engineering concepts and cost estimates.
• Oversee MV and LV electrical power system designs, including equipment selection and grounding strategies.
• Architect and validate DCS and PLC/HMI control logic strategies and instrumentation standards.
• Provide advanced protection and control system design, including coordination studies and integration strategies.
• Lead and supervise commissioning efforts, resolving complex technical issues and ensuring successful system handover.
• Mentor junior staff and oversee the preparation of tender and construction packages.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• Must be registered as a P.Eng. in British Columbia.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Practical knowledge of North American standards.
• Ability and willingness to travel to domestic and international sites (5-20%).

Nice to have

• Consulting engineering experience.
• Experience in mining or chemical industries.
• Site audit, construction, and start-up experience.
