What you will do

• Complete control and automation engineering design deliverables for various projects.
• Prepare P&IDs, instrumentation and communication design criteria.
• Develop procurement packages, instrument indices, I/O lists, and cable schedules.
• Program PLC and/or DCS systems as per project requirements.
• Create and execute factory acceptance test (FAT) and software acceptance test (SAT) procedures.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and assist senior engineers with design reviews and site inspections.

Requirements

• Bachelor, Master of Applied Science, or Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering (graduating 2025 or recently graduated).
• Based in or able to work from St. John's, NL, Canada.
• Willingness and ability to travel to project sites (office and construction), including remote areas.
• Strong academic record and active involvement in extra-curricular or volunteer activities.
• Solid understanding of engineering and business fundamentals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Interest in Control Systems Engineering and Communication Systems.
• Previous co-op or work terms in controls, automation, and electrical engineering design.
• Technical experience with controls systems design, databases, and programming.
• Proficiency with data-centric design tools and Microsoft Office.
