Location: Calgary, AB, Canada (Hybrid options available after 90 days)

What you will do

  • Lead multi-discipline teams of engineers and technicians to deliver complex engineering deliverables for mega projects.
  • Manage budgets, schedules, and quality requirements across diverse design services and EPC programs.
  • Provide technical leadership for substation projects, including layout optimization and relay protection & control.
  • Interface with clients to identify drivers, manage changes, and support business development activities.
  • Oversee hiring, discipline, and pay administration for subordinate staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
  • Active engineering registration or licensure (EOR).
  • Experience with EPC or design services for substation and switchyard projects.
  • Must be based in or able to work in Calgary, AB; no visa sponsorship available.

Nice to have

  • Experience with investor-owned utilities in the United States.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and contract administration.
  • Expertise in HVDC, FACTS, STATCOM, or BESS integration.
  • Experience in design of substation facilities and overall project lifecycle.
