What you will do

• Perform professional-level fire protection engineering services, including life safety code consulting and fire protection design.
• Develop plans, specifications, and inspection reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with professional standards.
• Assist in resolving design problems through field investigations, research, and detailed design work.
• Conduct and document building code analyses, egress analyses, and fire detection and alarm systems reviews.
• Manage projects, including proposal development, budget management, and client interaction.
• Participate in business development activities, such as client outreach and conference attendance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or higher.
• 5+ years of experience in fire protection engineering.
• Licensed as a professional engineer in the State of Texas preferred.
• Demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills.
• Must be local to the Houston, TX metro area or willing to relocate.
• The ability to travel to job sites in Texas, Colorado and/or surrounding states is required.
