What you will do

• Act as a trusted risk partner providing oversight and guidance on governance and controls.
• Collaborate with business functions to proactively shape the control environment for new initiatives.
• Perform systematic testing of key financial controls to assess design adequacy and operational effectiveness.
• Identify control gaps and propose process improvement opportunities.
• Contribute to assurance reporting for senior stakeholders, including the CFO and Board Committees.
• Build strong relationships to influence risk-based decision-making across the organization.

Requirements

• Experience in financial risk, controls, audit, or assurance, ideally within financial services.
• Strong understanding of control design and testing frameworks.
• Proven ability to partner with stakeholders and provide credible challenge.
• Accounting background (part or fully qualified ACA/ACCA) or internal audit experience.
• Solid Excel capability.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to identify risks and set out cost-effective mitigation measures.
