Data Analyst Intern (Azure)

What you will do

• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, including automating manual processes and optimizing data delivery.
• Build analytics tools utilizing data pipelines to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition and operational efficiency.
• Ensure data remains separated and secure across national boundaries through multiple data centers.
• Participate in the evolution of the company's Data Strategy within the new Data and AI Platform department.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (minimum 1 year completed).
• Legal entitlement to work in Canada and ability to pass the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) background check.
• Strong proficiency in both French and English, written and spoken.
• Knowledge of coding and scripting languages such as Python, Java, Scala, SQL, JS, or Bash.
• Familiarity with Microsoft cloud services, specifically Azure and Databricks.

Nice to have

• Experience with big data tools including Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
• Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, CosmosDb).
• Knowledge of automated data pipeline and workflow management tools like DevOps, ARM, Data Factory, and Airflow.
• Experience with stream-processing systems such as Storm and Spark-Streaming.
