Data Engineer (AWS/Context Awareness): Building a scalable data foundation and pipelines for the Nexa ecosystem to provide trusted contextual data to engineering teams with an accent on data ingestion, transformation, and observability. Focus on designing data models for analytics, connecting disparate data sources, and ensuring data quality through standardized pipelines.

Location: Hybrid (Utrecht, NL). Must be based in the Netherlands and have the legal right to work in the Netherlands. Relocation is not provided.

Salary: €4,931 - €7,043 per month

What you will do

• Identify and onboard new data sources to evolve the data foundation.
• Connect data sources and build complex context logic.
• Create insights and dashboards to make data usage and value visible.
• Ensure high data quality, reliability, and observability across pipelines.
• Act as an advisor on how to structure and store data on the solution side.

Requirements

• Strong experience with data engineering fundamentals: ingestion, transformation, and serving.
• Proficiency in designing data models for both analytics and operational use cases.
• Hands-on experience connecting multiple data sources via APIs, events, and databases.
• Experience with cloud-based data solutions, preferably AWS.
• Comfortable working in containerized environments.
• Must be located in the Netherlands with a valid work permit.

Nice to have

• Experience with event-driven or asynchronous data flows.
• Familiarity with GraphQL and schema-first APIs.
• Experience working with Neo4j or graph-like data models.
• Affinity with AI / LLM-driven analytics or insights.
• Background in large-scale enterprise or financial environments.
