Functional Safety Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Torino, Robassomero, Cavriago, or Bolzano, Italy

Indicative starting compensation: €32,000 per year. Final compensation depends on experience, skills, and responsibility level.

What you will do

• Develop item definitions, hazard analysis and risk assessments, safety concepts, safety analyses, and test specifications.
• Implement and verify safety concepts for safety-related projects from prototype to start of production.
• Execute safety tests and safety-related research and development activities.
• Work with system, software, and hardware engineering teams to verify safety functionality.
• Identify and report project deviations proactively and contribute to lessons learned.
• Provide technical support for customer offers and present solutions to customers.

Requirements

• Technical university degree or equivalent in mechatronics, physics, software, electronics, or a related field.
• Several years of experience developing safety-related projects from prototype to start of production.
• Certified Safety Engineer qualification and HV Basis Training.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical/electronic development, system engineering, safety standards, and hirify.global safety development processes.
• Working knowledge of software and mechanical engineering fundamentals.
• Very good English, a driver's license, problem-solving skills, and willingness to travel.
