What you will do

• Provide strategic leadership to cross-functional teams to progress the research portfolio from bench to clinic.
• Drive the development and monitoring of research strategy, goals, and metrics.
• Define critical paths, identify interdependencies, and proactively manage risks and bottlenecks.
• Optimize resource allocation and drive synergies across various disease areas.
• Recruit, manage, mentor, and develop a team of research program managers.
• Represent the department on governance forums and influence strategic direction with senior leadership.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in Life Sciences or a relevant field (PhD preferred).
• 12-15 years of experience, including 5+ years of management experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading large, complex global programs.
• Deep expertise in portfolio management, strategic planning, and risk management.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor senior-level professionals.
• Expertise in pharmaceutical drug discovery and development across disciplines.
