Platform Engineer (AWS)

TL;DR

Platform Engineer (AWS/TypeScript): Building and scaling serverless infrastructure for an AI-native enterprise procurement platform with an accent on CI/CD optimization, observability, and developer experience. Salary: £90,000 – £135,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Design and evolve AWS serverless architecture (Lambda, DynamoDB, Aurora) for 10x growth and multi-region HA.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Infrastructure-as-Code with Pulumi.
• Establish comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and debugging across the stack using Datadog.
• Develop internal tooling and automation to remove friction and improve the overall developer experience.
• Contribute production-ready TypeScript code across both infrastructure and product features.

Requirements

• 5+ years of platform engineering experience in high-growth, cloud-native SaaS environments.
• Deep expertise in AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, EventBridge, IAM, networking).
• Proficiency in writing clean production code in TypeScript or a similar language.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and IaC at scale.
• Must be based in or able to work in-person in London on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Nice to have

• Experience with Pulumi or similar IaC frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Datadog.
• Experience building internal developer platforms (IDPs) adopted org-wide.
• Open-source contributions to infrastructure or developer tooling projects.
