Senior Platform Engineer (Cloud)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable cloud platform infrastructure.
• Manage compute, storage, networking, serverless, virtualisation, and containerisation services with a focus on performance, cost efficiency, and resilience.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code, automation, and platform management solutions.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines for safer and more efficient software releases.
• Implement monitoring, logging, performance improvements, and incident response practices to improve reliability.
• Collaborate with Development, Security, DevSecOps, and Operations teams while mentoring other engineers.

Requirements

• Strong experience in platform engineering, DevOps, platform management, or a similar IT engineering role.
• Hands-on experience managing cloud infrastructure at scale, ideally with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Knowledge of cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, serverless architecture, virtualisation, and containerisation.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation, and scripting using tools such as Terraform, Azure DevOps Services, Git, PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Experience building or managing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, cloud security principles, compliance frameworks, and DevOps practices, with strong cross-functional communication skills.
