What you will do

• Lead and maintain the data protection operating model across GCOO.
• Implement and support data protection policies, standards, and controls.
• Deliver GDPR compliance activities, including risk assessments and register maintenance.
• Provide expert guidance on data protection matters to business stakeholders.
• Manage and track data breaches, ensuring appropriate reporting and resolution.
• Design and deliver training to improve data protection awareness.

Requirements

• Must have demonstrable experience in a dedicated data protection or UK GDPR-focused role.
• Strong understanding of data protection principles and regulatory requirements.
• Experience managing risk assessments, data breaches, and subject access requests.
• Ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Relevant qualification such as IAPP or Data Protection Practitioner.
