Accounting Analyst

TL;DR

Accounting Analyst (Finance): Supporting day-to-day accounting operations for a multi-entity SaaS company with an accent on general ledger management, month-end close, and procure-to-pay cycles. Focus on leveraging AI tools to improve financial accuracy, streamline reporting workflows, and ensure compliance with GAAP standards.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Oakville, ON (Hybrid: 3 days/week in-office)

Compensation: $54,400 - $68,000 annually

What you will do

• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and deferrals, in accordance with GAAP.
• Perform detailed GL account reconciliations and balance sheet analysis.
• Manage the end-to-end accounts payable cycle, including invoice processing and purchase order matching.
• Support month-end, quarterly, and year-end close processes within established timelines.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve data quality and financial process workflows.
• Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
• Actively pursuing CPA designation or eligibility to enroll in a CPA PEP program required.
• 1–2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).
• Must be able to work in the Oakville, ON office 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with ERP systems, specifically NetSuite.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI.
• Experience with procure-to-pay platforms.
