NDT Technician (Engineering)

Salary: $65,000 – $75,000

What you will do

• Perform safety and non-safety certification inspections on water pumps and electrical systems for automotive fire apparatus.
• Conduct weld inspections and operational testing for aerial ladders and platforms on municipal fire pumpers.
• Analyze and evaluate examination results against UL standards and requirements using technical judgment.
• Verify the accuracy of manufacturers' measuring equipment and review production and inspection records.
• Communicate with manufacturers, customers, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction to resolve technical problems.
• Document all examination variations and test results on official UL forms.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in the Appleton, WI area.
• Dependable personal transportation is required to visit client locations in Northeast Wisconsin.
• NDT Classroom Training in MT, VT, and UT with previous Level II NDT experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and technical ability.
• Ability to work outdoors, in confined spaces, and at elevated areas.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, both assisted and unassisted.

Nice to have

• Experience with welding and fabrication.
