What you will do
- Prepare and file weekly certified payroll reports in compliance with US Department of Labor and local guidelines.
- Ensure company adherence to Davis-Bacon and related prevailing wage acts.
- Coordinate with HR and field timekeeping to verify hours, pay rates, and fringe benefits.
- Research and apply filing requirements for federal, state, and locally funded construction projects.
- Verify correct classification of construction craft workers for prevailing wage rates.
- Assist with general payroll processing and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience.
- Typically 2+ years of related payroll experience.
- Must be authorized to work in the US (no visa sponsorship).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Intermediate level).
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to complete pre-employment background checks and drug screening.
Nice to have
- Experience in filing Certified Payroll reports.
- Knowledge of Federal WH-347 forms.
- Understanding of Fringe Benefits and Burdens.
