What you will do
- Lead semi-monthly and monthly payroll cycles across multiple U.S. states and manage international contractor payments.
- Audit payroll registers and maintain internal controls for audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare payroll journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts in NetSuite to support timely month-end close.
- Process complex compensation scenarios including bonuses, commissions, and retroactive adjustments.
- Partner with People & Culture and FP&A to align employee data and financial reporting.
- Optimize Rippling and NetSuite integrations to automate workflows as the company scales.
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive payroll experience with full ownership of multi-state processing.
- Experience in a SaaS or high-growth environment with variable compensation structures.
- Deep knowledge of US payroll compliance (federal, state, and local).
- Proven ability to handle payroll accounting, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Proficiency with Rippling, NetSuite, and advanced Excel/Google Sheets.
- Must be based in the United States to align with US-specific benefits and tax regulations.
