What you will do

• Manage full-cycle payroll processing for diverse employee populations.
• Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for Workday payroll configuration and issue resolution.
• Perform payroll reconciliations, variance analysis, and general ledger support.
• Drive process improvements and automation to increase efficiency and mitigate risk.
• Collaborate with HRIS and IT teams to maintain data integrity and system stability.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience with Workday payroll in a multi-state environment.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Proven experience in a SOX-controlled environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

• Experience processing payroll for unionized workforces.
• Experience with prevailing wage requirements and compliance.
