Forward Deployed Engineering Intern (AI)

Forward Deployed Engineering Intern (AI): Supporting real-world AI deployments and configuring AI agents for customer environments with an accent on LLM integration and system reliability. Focus on building and testing integrations, troubleshooting prototypes, and collaborating with engineering teams to iterate on practical AI solutions.

Location: Must be based in or able to work from Toronto, Canada (Hybrid)

Compensation: CAD $30–$50/hour

What you will do

• Develop and configure AI agents using internal platform tools.
• Build and test integrations between AI agents and external systems or APIs.
• Support performance tuning and troubleshooting of AI agent prototypes.
• Collaborate with customers and internal engineering teams to iterate on solutions.
• Participate in team demos, feedback sessions, and technical learning opportunities.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python or another general-purpose programming language.
• Strong interest in artificial intelligence, machine learning, or software engineering.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment in Toronto.

Nice to have

• Experience with APIs, web development, or cloud platforms.
• Prior coursework or projects involving AI/ML concepts or LLMs.
• Exposure to prompt engineering or experimentation.
