Salary: $212,000 — $265,000 USD

What you will do

• Own the Storage SRE technical roadmap over a 12+ month horizon to evolve the operational model.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of engineers, focusing on career development and team health.
• Drive the generalization of cluster lifecycle, schema management, and observability tooling.
• Partner with engineering teams as the primary expert on safe and efficient database adoption at scale.
• Establish standards for on-call strategy, incident response, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Improve the developer experience for engineers working with high-traffic transactional storage systems.

Requirements

• 9+ years of industry experience in database infrastructure, storage systems, or site reliability engineering.
• 3+ years of engineering management experience leading SRE, infrastructure, or platform teams.
• Proven track record of hiring strong engineers and developing talent.
• Strong technical foundation in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and production database operations.
• Ability to communicate technical strategy and trade-offs clearly to senior leadership.
• Must reside in a US state where hirify.global, Inc. has a registered entity.
