What you will do

• Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Simulation, Perception, and Mapping to build joint strategies and roadmaps.
• Improve production system behavior via instrumentation, bug fixes, and reliability enhancements.
• Simplify systems and improve automation to reduce technical debt and increase code health.
• Brainstorm, design, and build new infrastructure features for large-scale data processing.
• Provide technical support and guidance for internal partners and clients.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience working on large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong working knowledge of C++ (3+ years of active coding experience).
• Proven track record of driving collaboration across organizational boundaries.
• Ability to document technical designs and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Data Engineering, Backend Infrastructure, or Streaming Infrastructure.
• Knowledge of sampling, compression, or fleet optimization algorithms.
• Experience with resource allocation fairness.
• Familiarity with Cloud Storage such as S3 or GCS.
