What you will do

• Lead the technical implementation and delivery of complex mainframe modernization projects.
• Create proof-of-concept (PoC) and proof-of-value (PoV) technology analyses and pilots.
• Design and deploy technical solutions utilizing Rocket products to support customer digital transformations.
• Provide technical leadership and sound advice to customers, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Conduct internal and external technical presentations and training sessions for peer groups.
• Coordinate with Project Managers to estimate requirements, manage technical risks, and determine resource needs.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of relevant technical experience in complex IT project implementations.
• Expertise in IBM Enterprise COBOL or PLI programming.
• System-level experience with IBM CICS, IMS, and JCL.
• Proficiency in relational databases such as IBM DB2/UDB, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of major cloud provider infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Fluent in written and verbal English.

Nice to have

• Practical experience with mainframe application modernization, including automated code conversion and re-platforming.
• Familiarity with Agile engineering (TDD, CI/CD, DevOps) and tools like GitHub, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
• Knowledge of additional mainframe environments such as REXX, Assembler, Natural, or Adabas.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Solution Architect Professional, Microsoft Azure Solution Architect, or SAFe.
• Proficiency in another EU language.
