TL;DR
Director, Free Response Rating Capability Analyst (EdTech): Designing and improving operational and analytic capabilities for large-scale AP exam scoring with an accent on data-driven process optimization and system integration. Focus on building scalable reporting frameworks, enhancing digital scoring platforms, and driving continuous improvement across the AP Reading lifecycle.
Location: Must be authorized to work in the United States. This is a fully remote role with an optional hybrid setup for those near offices.
Salary: $80,000–$130,000

What you will do
- Define and maintain the capability roadmap for free response rating operations, including tools and performance measurement systems.
- Translate operational needs into business requirements and partner with technology teams to implement system enhancements.
- Develop analytic models and dashboards to provide real-time insights into scoring performance and operational risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scoring systems are configured for annual AP Reading operations.
- Standardize processes and governance frameworks for rating analytics and reporting.
- Lead retrospective reviews to synthesize findings and drive automation and efficiency initiatives.
Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
- Expertise in operational analytics, scoring operations, or education systems.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into operational improvements and scalable solutions.
- Experience with large-scale datasets and reporting tools such as Excel, SQL, and BI platforms.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to travel 2–4 times per year for business purposes.
