What you will do

• Review engineering information packages for constructability and completeness.
• Develop detailed construction plans and cost estimates for industrial piping projects.
• Manage construction labor and coordinate resources across multiple projects.
• Partner with and manage site contractors, including bid package writing.
• Develop material takeoffs and handle purchasing and expediting.
• Interface directly with owners and engineers to ensure project targets are met.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work in Iowa City, Iowa
• 5-7 years of piping/mechanical estimating experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Piping/Mechanical Estimating systems (e.g., Sage, MCAA).
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction specifications.
• Experience managing construction labor and subcontractor bid packages.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice to have

• OSHA 10 & 30 Training.
• Experience with equipment setting packages.
• Experience working directly with field supervision for crew selection.
