What you will do
- Define and lead the product data strategy and telemetry platform strategy, including event pipeline design into the Databricks lakehouse.
- Establish instrumentation standards for event schemas, naming, and versioning across all product teams.
- Design and deliver governed product data products, including datasets, metrics, and dashboards.
- Enable customer-facing insights and usage transparency as a core part of the product experience.
- Partner with Data Engineering and Analytics on pipelines, data contracts, and consumption.
- Build and scale a high-impact product data team.
Requirements
- 5+ years in product data, product analytics, or analytics engineering in a SaaS environment.
- Experience defining product instrumentation and telemetry architecture at scale.
- Hands-on experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake.
- Strong SQL and Python skills across data pipelines and analysis.
- Experience leading small, high-performing teams and influencing technical and business stakeholders.
- Must be based in the UK.
Nice to have
- Experience with product analytics tools like Amplitude, Pendo, or Gainsight PX.
- Background in EdTech, assistive technology, or mission-driven organisations.
- Experience applying AI/ML to product or behavioural data.
- Experience delivering customer-facing analytics or usage insights.
