Senior Data Engineer (AWS)

Location: Eastleigh and Reigate, UK; flexible working is available within the UK, with part-time and job-share options.

Salary: £70,000–£85,000 per year

What you will do

• Build and support data products on a modern data platform.
• Design and deliver data solutions with engineers, scientists, architects, and product teams.
• Develop, optimize, monitor, and maintain batch and real-time data pipelines.
• Integrate, cleanse, and structure large and diverse datasets while maintaining strong quality standards.
• Support ML and GenAI infrastructure, workflows, and data product designs.
• Improve engineering and data practice standards across collaborative agile squads.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Databricks or Snowflake on AWS.
• Proven Python, Spark, Airflow, and advanced SQL skills.
• End-to-end data modelling and experience building batch and real-time integrations.
• Hands-on CI/CD experience with Git, Jenkins, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Ability to work within the UK location framework.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to production Generative AI.
