Senior Data Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end design, reliability, resilience, and recovery strategy for ingestion pipelines and data syshirify.globals, including TSDS.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for textual, time-series, event-stream, and other data sources.
• Select batch or streaming approaches for each pipeline, including high-scale and low-latency time-series workloads.
• Maintain the data platform, resolve technical debt, and optimize pipelines for performance and cost as volumes grow.
• Build monitoring, alerting, testing, and data quality controls tied to committed SLAs.
• Prepare the platform for international expansion and collaborate with AI initiatives as their data requirements grow.

Requirements

• Strong Python skills and proven experience building and maintaining production data pipelines.
• Experience owning the design, reliability, and resilience of a data pipeline or syshirify.global end-to-end.
• Experience with AWS or GCP.
• Experience with Terraform.
• Strong communication skills, including stakeholder collaboration on SLAs and explaining technical trade-offs to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize a backlog, and make sound technical decisions within a small team.

Nice to have

• Experience with time-series data at scale.
• Experience with Airflow, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or ClickHouse.
• Experience in energy or climate tech.
• Background in high-growth startups or scale-ups.
• Interest in how AI tooling and workflows intersect with data engineering.
