Salary: 65,000 - 105,000 CAD

What you will do

• Support and deploy API Platform components in both cloud and on-premise environments.
• Maintain core infrastructure including gateways, service-mesh, runtimes, and security.
• Manage and support the Enterprise Event Hub using Kafka.
• Identify and debug defects in platform modules to provide effective technical solutions.
• Execute performance and load-testing processes to implement system optimizations.
• Collaborate with business and technology partners to implement API Governance and standardization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-6 years of IT experience, with at least 2 years in Application Support and Operations.
• 1-2 years of development experience with Java.
• Proficiency in CI/CD solutions, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of REST API design standards (Open API Spec, RAML).
• Must be able to obtain Government of Canada Reliability Status security clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS services such as EKS, EC2, Lambda, and API Gateway.
• Knowledge of Kafka/Confluent technologies.
• Experience with OAuth and OpenID for REST API security.
• Proficiency in Spring Boot, including secure coding and performance tuning.
• Experience with Kustomize, Helm Charts, Jenkins, or Ansible.
