What you will do

• Perform automotive and industrial repairs, diagnostics, and testing procedures.
• Fabricate test fixtures, stands, and prototype parts based on design specifications.
• Analyze test results, prepare summary reports, and recommend technical improvements.
• Lead test execution and coordinate equipment selection, calibration, and setup.
• Mentor junior technicians and provide technical consultation to engineering teams.
• Ensure testing efficiency and adherence to quality standards across development initiatives.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work in Portland, Oregon
• 5-10+ years of relevant mechanical or testing experience depending on level
• Associate degree in a relevant field or equivalent certifications
• Proficiency in welding, machining, and fabrication
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications
• Experience with data acquisition systems and test instrumentation

Nice to have

• Experience with CAN systems and vehicle communication protocols
• Advanced troubleshooting of DC/AC electrical systems
• Experience leading tests and coordinating project activities
