Security Engineer II (Cloud Security)

What you will do

• Design and build internal solutions to identify and remedy compliance and security failures.
• Develop policy as code, templates, and modules to enforce secure patterns.
• Respond to alerts and participate in overall incident response and on-call rotations.
• Analyze log sources to detect and mitigate potential threats.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational security requirements.
• Create security policies, standards, and guidelines for engineering teams.

Requirements

• Operational experience with AWS and GCP.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python or Golang.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Familiarity with cloud-native security tools like AWS CloudTrail, AWS Config, and AWS Inspector.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be based in Barcelona, Spain.

Nice to have

• Operational experience securing Kubernetes.
• Certifications such as CISSP-ISSAP or AWS Certified Security - Specialty.
• Knowledge of GDPR security and privacy requirements.
• Familiarity with security frameworks like NIST CSF or ISO 27001.
