Senior Information Security Engineer

TL;DR

What you will do

• Design, build, scale, and maintain core security infrastructure and controls.
• Respond to security tickets, investigate and remediate incidents.
• Serve as Security SME for secure cloud infrastructure and provide guidance on cloud/hybrid solutions.
• Partner with teams to define security requirements, conduct POCs, and evaluate vendors.
• Implement new security technologies, automate tasks, and maintain documentation.
• Mentor security analysts and junior engineers, communicate status to stakeholders.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• 4+ years of security engineering or related experience; 3+ years in cloud.
• Solid understanding of information security principles (confidentiality, integrity, availability).
• Experience with logging platforms like Splunk; endpoint security (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne).
• Scripting in Unix/Shell, Python, Golang, Rust, or PowerShell; IaC with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving skills; ability to work independently.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab); Azure Active Directory.
• Splunk SPL or Microsoft KQL queries; IDS/IPS, CASB, DLP.
• SASE solutions (Zscaler, Netskope, Palo Alto Prisma Access, Cloudflare One).
• Cloud firewalls (Palo Alto CNGFW, Fortinet); Zero Trust networking.
• Cloud/security certifications (Azure, AWS, GCP, CISSP, GIAC, CCSP).
