TL;DR

Officer - Accounts & Payments (Corporate Banking): Delivering accurate and compliant payment and account services for Wholesale Banking clients across the Asia Pacific region with an accent on domestic and cross-border transaction execution. Focus on monitoring transaction flows, resolving reconciliation breaks, and ensuring strict compliance with AML and Sanctions regulations.

Location: Hybrid (Sydney, AU). Must be based in Sydney and able to work from 12:30pm to 9pm Monday to Friday to support the Asia time zone.

What you will do

  • Process domestic and cross-border payments accurately and on time using platforms such as SWIFT, RTGS, CHATS, and FPS.
  • Monitor end-to-end transaction flows and resolve reconciliation breaks or cash discrepancies to minimize disruption.
  • Ensure all processing and settlement deadlines are met in accordance with SLAs.
  • Support client onboarding, ensuring correct documentation and payment channel setup.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and Relationship Managers to resolve payment-related queries.
  • Maintain compliance with internal policies and external regulations, including AML and Sanctions.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of operational experience within Corporate, Wholesale, or Institutional Banking.
  • Understanding of corporate payments, account products, and payment rails (SWIFT, RTGS, FPS, CNAPS, Direct Entry).
  • Based in Sydney, Australia for a hybrid work arrangement.
  • Willingness and ability to work 12:30pm - 9pm Monday to Friday.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese is highly preferred.
