What you will do

• Lead complex design initiatives from earliest concept through to validated prototypes.
• Synthesize behavioral data, customer research, and industry signals to imagine innovative user experiences.
• Create wireframes, interaction models, and high-fidelity designs for web and mobile platforms.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and researchers to rapidly test hypotheses.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools and lightweight code for rapid prototyping to test feasibility and de-risk new directions.
• Influence senior leadership by presenting a clear point of view backed by design rationale and customer data.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product design experience with a strong end-to-end portfolio in interaction, visual, and prototyping work.
• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Human Factors, Design Strategy, or equivalent practical experience.
• Deep fluency in Figma and hands-on experience with AI prototyping tools such as Claude, Lovable, or Cursor.
• Experience designing for AI-powered or SaaS products on web and mobile.
• Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills for influencing senior leadership.
• Location: Must be based in Mountain View, CA or San Diego, CA

Nice to have

• Experience designing 0→1 products or working in incubation, R&D, or skunkworks environments.
• Fluency in lightweight front-end code (HTML/CSS/JS) for prototyping.
• Experience designing agentic or generative AI experiences and novel interaction patterns.
• Ability to spot transferable patterns across multiple industries or business models.
• Experience partnering with researchers for rapid concept testing and iterative synthesis.
