hirify.global’s Alex Fraser Research Forest is part of the Faculty of Forestry & Environmental Stewardship, and is responsible for managing the University’s obligations and opportunities on a small, 10,000 hectares crown forest tenure generating an annual gross revenue of up to $2 million.

What you will do

• Manage the unit budget, overseeing revenues, expenses, and financial transactions.
• Coordinate human resources activities, including recruiting, hiring, and performance management.
• Provide operational leadership and collaborate on strategic plans.
• Manage administrative systems and develop policies and procedures.
• Collaborate in emergency preparedness and response.
• Oversee the administration of facility rental bookings and rental collection.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
• Completion of at least 7 of the 14 CPA academic prerequisites.
• Minimum of two years of related experience.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to respect diverse perspectives.

Nice to have

• Experience in accounting and administrative management.
• Class V Drivers License.
• Level I First Aid Certificate.
• Knowledge of University policies and procedures.
• Working knowledge of the forest industry.
