Salary: $214,000 - $257,000 per year

What you will do

• Direct and supervise safety programs to scale key processes and safety policies cross-functionally.
• Maintain and scale internal and external data gathering, analysis, and reporting processes.
• Design and implement innovative risk management programs for strategic decision-making.
• Lead the safety assessment program and anonymous reporting/feedback mechanisms.
• Represent the company in active Industry Standards and Best Practice organizations.
• Present safety data and findings to executive leadership to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in AV, Automotive, Transportation, or Robotics industries leading safety-critical programs.
• Proven ability to implement successful safety or security programs with familiarity with AI tools.
• Strong management skills with the ability to guide others through complex tasks.
• Deep awareness of AV safety trends and participation in professional engineering or safety organizations.
• BS in Engineering (Masters preferred) or a technical/safety-related degree.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid from Foster City, CA.

Nice to have

• Masters/PhD in Engineering, Management, or transportation safety.
• Familiarity with existing AV safety-related industry standards and best practices.
• Certification in Safety or Automotive systems.
• Membership in professional societies or industry standards activities.
