Sr. Director, Engineering - Next-Gen SIEM

Location: Hybrid, on-site at one of the following U.S. locations: Sunnyvale, CA; Redmond, WA; New York City; or Austin, TX. The New York City office requires 2–3 days per week on-site once the development center is established.

Base salary: $235,000–$350,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants, and benefits.

What you will do

• Define and execute the engineering strategy for the Falcon Next-Gen SIEM platform.
• Lead, mentor, and develop engineering managers and senior technical staff across multiple teams.
• Oversee complex, large-scale projects with a focus on quality, security, resilience, and operational excellence.
• Partner with Product, Security, and Business stakeholders to prioritize initiatives and allocate resources.
• Establish engineering KPIs and represent engineering in executive forums.
• Attract, retain, and develop engineering talent while driving continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Experience leading multiple engineering teams or departments at scale.
• Deep expertise in engineering management, technical architecture, and operational excellence.
• Strong strategic thinking, communication, stakeholder management, and executive presence.
• Experience building cybersecurity products in a SaaS environment.
• Proven use of AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.
• Ability to work in a hybrid, on-site arrangement at one of the listed U.S. locations.

Nice to have

• 15+ years of engineering experience, including at least 5 years in senior leadership.
• Experience building and scaling high-performing engineering organizations.
• Experience with distributed systems processing events at millions-per-second scale.
• Experience shipping LLM-native features or applications.
• Machine learning, data science, and hybrid cloud experience.
