TL;DR
Quality Engineer (Manufacturing): Supporting build activities and driving timely resolution of issues in pre-production and low-volume production powertrains and vehicles with an accent on identifying and evaluating issues for preliminary root cause. Focus on working across Design, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and Operations to support delivery of high-quality products.
Location: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the selected candidate is expected to report to a specific location on a full-time basis.

What you will do
- Provide technical guidance and support to technicians.
- Identify, track, and help resolve issues to support quality and timing objectives.
- Serve as a liaison between GAIC, Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Supplier Quality during build phases.
- Maintain process control plans and internal audit documentation.
- Review CMM, FARO, scan reports, and other dimensional data related to engineering design and supplier components.
- Develop clear action plans and support continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements
- 2+ years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelorβs degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
- Ability to learn and work within GM systems, including EMS, PRTS, ABAT, Teamcenter, GDIS, and Microsoft Office.

- Experience working with union-represented employees.
- Hands-on experience with Teamcenter, ABAT, ECM, and PRTS.
- Working knowledge of GMβs GMS principles.

- Strong project management, organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
