Supply Chain Quality Engineer

TL;DR

Supply Chain Quality Engineer: Applies quality principles to ensure product and process quality for make and/or buy products with an accent on product requirements, specifications, and failure investigations. Focus on improving internal and/or supplier performance and productivity, and evaluating quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.

Location: Must be a US Citizen, Sunnyvale, CA, position will be remote, will need to live in the southwest to reduce travel cost for trips

Salary: $48/hr

What you will do

• Perform technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings and procedures.
• Collaborate with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place.
• Engage in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventive action.
• Develop strategies and systems designed to improve internal and/or supplier performance and productivity.
• Evaluate quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
• Engage in supplier selection process and maintain certification programs.

Requirements

• Familiar with Procure-to-Pay or SAP.
• Proficient in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) & Microsoft Office applications
• Must be a US Citizen
• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance and requires an Interim Secret prior to start.
• Must be willing to travel to client sites as needed.

Nice to have

• Technical bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
• Experience with Supply Chain Quality Engineering.
• Defect resolution through implementation of effective root cause corrective action.
• Quality MRB certification.
• Lean Six-Sigma Green Belt
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer
